Beginning the Blog

I am so incredibly excited about all the new information I am gathering about educational technology from so many people around the world that I've decided to start keeping better track of it all on this blog.  I am indebted to people like Larry Simons, Mark Mankowski and others for sharing their knowledge with me and for urging me on to pursue and share a passion for more current and creative teaching with technology. By Mark putting in an "encouraging word" to MATC's Educational Research and Dissemination (ER&D) who then sent me to Elliot Masie's Learning Roundtable in Chicago over spring break, I was able to meet others involved in e-learning. And now, by staying in touch with them through Twitter, I am being educated every day about how they and others globally are using new technologies to break down classroom walls and truly make the world their classrooms.  Students and educators are easily and inexpensively able to learn cooperatively and collaboratively with others all around the world who share similar interests.  It is an exciting time for me to be both teaching and learning, and I hope that through this blog I can share that excitement.
